Recently, a lot of American citizens and green card holders have lodged complaints about H-1 and L-1 visa. My question to these people is that why are they focussed on IT industry only. Thousands of day to day use items are being manufactured in Asian countries and imported. Dont you think that if all of these items were manufactured in US, there would have been plenty of jobs???

During the initial phases of the Enron Scandal we saw Congressman James Greenwood on National TV looking into the isssues here. Arthur Levitt head of the Securities Exchange Commission has been pushing for Accounting reform such as the disallowing the large accounting firms from providing consulting services to firms for which they provide financial audits to remove the conflict of interest that contributed to the down fall of Enron due to the conflict of interests caused be this situation. Well over 40 members of Congress leaned on Levitt to not to impose this restriction on the large accounting firms. In addition, the House passed a bill HR 3773 sponsored by Mike Oxley. This bill was lobbied for and paid by the big accounting firms including Anderson/Acenture. Congressman Greenwood was amoung the members here who once again sold out the interests of the common good of our society for the special interests that have contributed greatly to our members of Congress. Since the Large Accounting firms are one of the largest users of H1B Visa Labor they again are selling out the future of American Workers for larger profits.
